Mike Mangeot

During a 30-year career at UPS, Mike Mangeot responded to four aircraft accidents, numerous smaller aircraft incidents, an aircraft bomb scare, pilot hostage situation, 9/11 and the COVID-19 crisis.

Mangeot has extensive experience developing and updating UPS Urgent Response Plan He was a member of the teams that created the crisis comms plan for UPS Flight Forward, the company’s drone airline and revised the crisis comms document for the entire enterprise. The industry veteran has been through NTSB crisis training twice and presented a case study at the Board’s annual aircraft incident response training.

Mangeot served as UPS Airlines’ primary media spokesperson for a decade and oversaw all airline external and employee communications for five years. He has worked in multimedia production, electronic and print media, social media, training development and technical writing.

While heading PR for UPS Airlines, Mangeot was a member of the communications advisory group for Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), meeting monthly to discuss strategy, tactics and current events at SDF. In addition, Mangeot was a member of Airlines for America’s Communications Council, offering cargo aviation insight and attending annual media forums.
